My Story Brand

About Me

I always considered myself the hero without a dragon to slay, insecure in my own simple life and story. Growing up meant realizing my life story does have value, small as my adventures may seem. Now I tell cozy stories that reflect familiar struggles, weaving them into fantasy worlds to show that even small stories are worth being told.

I’ve been story-telling since birth and writing since I was thirteen years old. I am a student of The Author Conservatory, and can always be counted on to talk for hours about writing, stories, and anything bookish!

When I’m not at the computer drafting my current novel or scribbling notes in one of my many notebooks, I can be found acting and singing on stage, sharing some time of fellowship with friends, or out on a walk through the forest to collect my thoughts and admire nature.

About My Stories

No matter who you are or what you’re going through… Life is hard.

I know how it feels to struggle with day-to-day life. I am a young person, growing up in a world that feels so busy and overwhelming. But unlike so many of my favorite story heroes, I have the support of friends and family, the security of a healthy home, and the means to keep going with no clear need to struggle. Yet… I still do. So many of us do.

Sometimes we wonder why.

All around me, I see stories of people who take their own broken lives and overcome such heavy burdens. Those stories always feel so beautiful, but how could I compare to that?

I don’t have trauma, so I must not have a story to tell.

But I’ve realized that isn’t true. Everyone has a story to tell, and every story is valuable.

Not all stories are full of deep trauma. Not all people struggle with impossible odds.

And those stories are important too.

I bring those stories to light through cozy fantasy.

Weaving the whimsy and wonder of fantasy in with the work and struggle of day to day life, I tell stories of characters with dreams and hope, who must face their insecurities, road-blocks, and the way they interact with the world to reach their next happy ending. Stories with everyday heroes who face their challenges by learning courage, kindness, honesty, and so much more.

Everyone has a story.

Everyone has their own dragons to slay, small as they may seem. And I write to reflect those undervalued stories in the warm embrace of cozy fantasy.

      What Readers Can Expect

Stories set in rich worlds that use the wonder of a cozy fantasy adventure to reflect life’s smaller struggles. With heroes that must brave their anxieties, work through disagreements with friends and family, tackle new seasons of change, and overcome the smaller and more familiar battles ordinary people face.

Whimsical fantasy stories that tell exciting adventures, but from the perspective of an everyday protagonist on their own personal quests, rather than saving the world.

Stories that tackle the emotions that almost everyone faces without belittling them or setting them aside. Uplifting themes and resolutions that show the readers that they can make it, and every struggle can be overcome.

Genuine stories that feature characters who hold on to hope in the story and that promotes wholesome relationships of friendship and family.
